Who Established the Interim Government (India, 1946)?

The Interim Government of India was established on 2 September 1946 and headed by Jawaharlal Nehru as Vice President of the Executive Council (effectively Prime Minister), under Viceroy Lord Wavell.

• Initially formed by the Indian National Congress; the Muslim League joined on 26 October 1946 with Liaquat Ali Khan as Finance Minister
