- Period 8 start: Would begin at element 119 (Ununennium)
- Status: Purely theoretical, not yet created
Why Period 8 Doesn't Exist Yet:
- Extremely unstable heavy elements
- Very short half-lives
- Difficult to synthesize in laboratories
- Would require advanced particle accelerators
Predicted Period 8 Elements:
- Element 119 (Ununennium) - would be in Group 1
- Element 120 (Unbinilium) - would be in Group 2
- All highly radioactive and unstable
