How did the Hūṇas affect India, and what happened to them?

The Hūṇas were nomadic warriors from Central Asia. They weakened the Gupta Empire but failed to establish lasting control. In the early 6th century, they invaded the Ganga plains but were defeated by the Aulikara kings. After defeat, the Hūṇas were assimilated into Indian society.
