Discuss the sources of vitamin B12 with your teacher.
Vitamin B12 is mainly present in animal-based foods such as milk, curd, cheese, eggs, fish, poultry and meat. It is important for the formation of red blood cells and for keeping the nervous system healthy. For strict vegetarians, vitamin B12 can be obtained from fortified foods (for example some fortified cereals, fortified plant milks) or by taking supplements after consulting a doctor.
