What is malnutrition?
Malnutrition is a condition that occurs when the body does not get the right amount of nutrients needed for healthy growth, energy, and normal body functions. It can result from eating too little, eating too much, or having an unbalanced diet that lacks essential nutrients.
Malnutrition can cause poor growth, weakness, frequent infections, tiredness, delayed development, and deficiency diseases. In some cases, it may also lead to overweight and obesity due to excessive intake of unhealthy foods. Eating a balanced diet with all major nutrients helps prevent malnutrition and supports overall health.
