What is cloning?
Cloning is the process of producing genetically identical copies of a cell, tissue, or entire organism.
In cloning, the new organism has the same genetic material as the original organism because it is created from a single parent without sexual reproduction.
Cloning can occur naturally, such as in some plants and microorganisms, or artificially through scientific techniques.
One famous example is Dolly the sheep, the first mammal cloned from an adult body cell.
Cloning is used in scientific research, agriculture, medicine, and biotechnology, but it also raises ethical and biological concerns.
