What is a train driver called?

A person who drives or operates a train is commonly called a train driver. This is the most simple and widely used term. However, the name can change depending on the country and the type of railway system. 

In India, a train driver is officially known as a loco pilot. The loco pilot is responsible for running the train safely, controlling its speed, and making sure passengers and goods reach their destination on time.

No matter what the title is, the job remains almost the same. A train driver controls the engine, follows signals, manages speed, and ensures the journey is safe and smooth.
