What causes night blindness?
Night blindness is mainly caused by a deficiency of Vitamin A, which is essential for maintaining healthy eyesight, especially in low-light conditions. Without enough Vitamin A, the retina cannot function properly in dim light, making it difficult to see at night.
Common symptoms include poor vision in low light, difficulty adjusting to darkness, and dry eyes. Night blindness can often be prevented by eating Vitamin A-rich foods such as carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, mangoes, papaya, milk, eggs, and liver.
