What are the 12th marks required for JEE Mains?
To appear in JEE Main 2026, there is no fixed percentage required to give the exam. But for admission into NITs, IITs, and IIITs, you must meet eligibility.
General category: 75% in Class 12 or top 20 percentile
SC/ST category: 65% marks
Subjects required: Physics, Chemistry, Maths
Also, important thing is that JEE ranks are based on percentile, not raw marks, so even small marks difference can change rank.
Sometimes students think marks matters more but actually percentile plays big role.
