What are amphibians?
Amphibians are animals that can live both on land and in water during different stages of their life. They have special adaptations that allow them to survive in both aquatic and terrestrial habitats.
Examples of amphibians include frogs, toads, and salamanders. Many amphibians begin their life in water as young organisms and later develop features that help them live on land. For example, frogs start life as tadpoles in water and become adults that can survive on land as well.
Amphibians play an important role in ecosystems by helping maintain balance among different organisms. Their ability to live in two different environments shows the diversity of animal adaptations found in nature.
