Differentiate between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, and provide an example of each.
Prokaryotic cells are simpler, smaller, and lack a membrane-bound nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Their genetic material is located in the nucleoid region. Example: Bacteria. Eukaryotic cells are larger, more complex, and possess a membrane-bound nucleus and various membrane-bound organelles. Example: Animal cells, plant cells, fungi, protists.
