IIT Fees Per Semester 2025
The total number of UG seats in all IITs is around 12,000. Every year, nearly 25 lakh (2.5 million) students appear for the JEE Advanced exam with the dream of getting admission into IITs, which makes the competition very high.
According to the official update from the HRD Ministry, the same fee structure as the previous year will continue for the 2025 admission session. This means there is no increase in IIT course fees for now, which is a small relief for students and parents.
The IIT fee per year for a B.Tech course is around ₹2.5 lakh. So, the total fee for 4 years of B.Tech at IIT comes to nearly ₹10 lakh, though the final amount may change a little depending on the IIT, hostel charges, or fee waivers.
